Who We Are
Junior Account executive
What do you do for Van Dyke Horn?
I am fortunate enough to have a multifaceted role with VDH. I do a lot of social media curation and content calendar maintenance. When I’m not living in the new media realm, I’m often assisting in survey creation, creating graphics, event management or community outreach initiatives.
What are some highlights from your previous experience?
Before my time with Van Dyke Horn, I worked in several communication-based roles at United Wholesale Mortgage, Wayne State University Library Services, American Axle and Manufacturing, the Detroit Grand Prix and the Center for Automotive Diversity, Inclusion and Advancement (CADIA). I was also the Wayne State PRSSA chapter president during my senior year of college, where I led seven executive board members and managed all chapter projects, including planning our 2020 District Conference.
How do you support the community?
I am the director of communications for the Michigan Youth Education Fund which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on reducing barriers and costs for Michigan students attending educational events and opportunities through grants and scholarships. I’m also very passionate about environmental sustainability, so I try to purchase items from local retailers and second-hand shops whenever possible. Since I was formerly the Wayne State PRSSA president, I am often engaged in their initiatives and providing guidance and mentorship wherever I can.
One of your top career achievements:
Crafting a client’s award-winning application for Michigan Manufacturers Association’s highly competitive MFG Woman of the Year award.
Bachelor of Art in public relations with minors in creative writing and new media from Wayne State University.
